Agenda
18:30pm- Welcome, networking, and introductions
19:00pm- Enabling low code developers to create custom client reports with a helping hand from Azure.
Speaker: Ian Tweedie
Many of us have found a way to deliver custom reports from Dataverse, or other outputs to our clients via low-code tools such as Power Automate. Maybe we have used the word connector, Dataverse, a bit of SharePoint, and a sprinkle of Outlook to deliver it.
Maybe we have created a mail merge type flow, but what and when do you trigger it?
Ever wondered if you could get the client to trigger it via a web link?
Ever wondered if you could get the client to trigger it via a web link in the context of themselves?
Ever wondered if you could get the client to trigger it via a web link in the context of themselves, with Single Sign on?
In this presentation, I’ll show you how, with a bit of Azure, you can enable low-code developers to create custom client reports, or any other output you can think of, using Power Automation, whether it be for membership certificates, invoices, or anything else.
This presentation is a co-pilot-free zone 🙂
19:35pm- Break, food and networking
19:50pm- Logic Apps vs Power Automate – Where to use what
Speaker: Michael Stephenson
In this session, we will look at the design question of where do you choose Logic Apps and where do you choose Power Automate. These two technologies are similar in many ways but different in others. There are lots of occasions where you could use either and it can sometimes be a confusing decision. Let’s take a look at some of the pros and cons of each and look at some practical real-world projects where these decisions have been made to help you in your decisions.
